Building Search Techniques - 2 hours
1 hour Interpersonal, 1 hour Skill Development
This course is designed to enhance officer safety and effectiveness during building search operations by integrating classroom instruction with practical application. In the first hour, participants will examine principles, tactics, and decision-making considerations for conducting systematic building searches through a mixture of presentation and classroom discussion. The second hour provides hands-on drills in which officers will demonstrate and refine these techniques, ensuring they can apply sound tactics in real-world operations.
Combat Application Tourniquet Drills – 2 hours
2 hours Firearms Skill Development
This course will prepare law enforcement officers to effectively apply and operate with a Combat Application Tourniquet (CAT) under realistic conditions. Through intensive, hands-on instruction, participants will learn proper tourniquet application techniques for self-aid and buddy-aid, followed by live-fire drills that require application of the CAT Tourniquet and weapon manipulation while the device is in place. This training ensures officers can control life-threatening bleeding and maintain operational capability in high-stress, real-world environments.
Defensive Tactics – 6 hours
1 hour De-escalation, 5 hours Skill Development
This course will develop officers’ proficiency in defensive tactics grounded in Jiu-Jitsu principles. Through structured instruction and practical application, participants will learn control, restraint, and escape techniques that emphasize leverage, positional control, and minimal force, enabling them to safely and lawfully manage resistant or aggressive subjects while reducing risk of injury to both officers and the public.
Fundamentals of Realistic De-Escalation & Skill Development Scenarios– 8 hours
4 hours Interpersonal, 4 hours Skill Development
This course will equip law enforcement officers with a comprehensive understanding and practical skill set for real-world de-escalation. The first four hours provide classroom-based instruction on what de-escalation really is, the circumstances in which it can be effectively applied, key concepts and influencing factors when attempting to de-escalate, and proven tactical and communication strategies. The final four hours immerse participants in scenario-based exercises that develop and reinforce practical techniques, enabling officers to apply de-escalation principles confidently and lawfully in diverse, real-world encounters.

Course Description
Handgun Skill Development – 2 hours
2 hours Firearms Skill Development
This course will enhance officers’ foundational handgun proficiency through intensive, hands-on skill development. Conducted entirely on the range, the training focuses on live-fire exercises that reinforce proper grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control, and safe weapon handling, enabling participants to improve accuracy and maintain operational readiness in duty situations.
Implicit Bias – 1 hour
1 hour Interpersonal
This course is designed to promote fair and unbiased policing by increasing officers’ awareness of implicit bias and its effects on decision-making and community interactions. Through focused instruction and guided discussion, participants will learn to recognize implicit bias, apply practical strategies to mitigate its influence, and strengthen community trust by engaging in ongoing self-assessment and professional reflection.
Legal Update – 2 hours or 4 hours
2 or 4 hours of Legal (Depends on the volume of updates each year.)
The goal of this course is to provide law enforcement officers with a comprehensive understanding of recent developments in statutory and case law. Through review and analysis of legislative changes and judicial rulings, officers will be equipped to apply current legal standards in the performance of their duties, thereby ensuring lawful, effective, and professional enforcement practices.
Low Light Firearms Training – 2 hours
2 hours Firearms Skill Development
This course will enhance officers’ proficiency and safety when operating a handgun in low-light environments. Through intensive, hands-on live-fire training, participants will practice flashlight techniques, target identification, and weapon manipulation under reduced-light conditions, building the skills necessary to maintain accuracy, situational awareness, and tactical advantage during nighttime or low-visibility operations.
OC Certification – 4 hours
2 Hours Technical, 2 hours Skill Development
The goal of this training is to prepare law enforcement officers to safely, effectively, and legally deploy Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) spray as a use-of-force option. Through classroom instruction, officers will gain knowledge of the chemical, physiological, and legal considerations of OC use, and then apply that knowledge in structured skill-development scenarios designed to build confidence, reinforce decision-making, and ensure proficiency in real-world situations.
Patrol Rifle Operator Certification – 24 hours
2 Hours Legal, 22 hours Firearms Skill Development
This comprehensive 24-hour certification course, delivered over 3 days, equips law enforcement officers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to safely and effectively operate a patrol rifle in the performance of their duties. Classroom instruction builds a foundation in rifle components, maintenance, and handling, while hands-on training develops proficiency in disassembly, assembly, and safe weapon manipulation. Live-fire drills and scenario-based exercises reinforce marksmanship, tactical movement, and weapon transitions to ensure officers can engage threats in both static and dynamic situations.
Pepperball Operator Certification - 4 hours
2 Hours Technical, 2 hours Skill Development
The goal of this training is to prepare law enforcement officers to safely, effectively, and legally deploy Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) spray as a use-of-force option. Racial Profiling – 1 hour
1 hour Interpersonal
This one-hour course is designed to ensure officers understand the legal and ethical standards that prohibit racial profiling and support fair, impartial policing. Participants will define and differentiate racial profiling from legitimate criminal profiling, examine the historical context and legal foundations of anti-profiling policies, and strengthen their ability to recognize and prevent practices that could result in racial discrimination.
Tactical Emergency Casualty Care – 4 hours
4 Hours Skill Development
This Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) course is designed to give law enforcement officers the knowledge and skills needed to save lives in critical incidents. Through a blend of PowerPoint instruction and hands-on skill stations, participants will learn how to assess and treat life-threatening injuries such as severe bleeding, compromised airways, and trauma from gunshot wounds or other high-threat encounters. Emphasis is placed on simple, effective interventions officers can perform under stress to provide immediate care for themselves, their partners, or civilians until EMS arrives. Officers will leave the course with practical skills and increased confidence to respond effectively during life-or-death situations.
Taser New User Certification – 8 hours
1 hour Legal, 5 hours Technical, 2 hours Skill Development
This course will certify law enforcement officers in the safe, effective, and legally compliant use of the TASER conducted energy weapons. Designed for both first-time participants and those whose certification has been expired for more than one year, the training combines classroom instruction on device operation, legal considerations, and use-of-force case law. Through the use of scenario-based training, officers will demonstrate proficiency, judgment, and use-of-force decision making in realistic situations.
Taser User Recertification - 8 hours
Hours Breakdown
This course will re-certify law enforcement officers in the safe, effective, and legally compliant use of the TASER conducted energy weapon. Designed for officers who already hold a certification and need to maintain it, the training reinforces knowledge of device operation, legal standards, and use-of-force case law through focused classroom instruction. Officers will also participate in skill development and scenario-based training to demonstrate continued proficiency, sound judgment, and readiness to deploy the TASER appropriately in real-world situations.
Traffic Stop Tactics – 2 hours
2 hours Technical
This course will further develop officers’ proficiency in conducting safe, effective, and professional traffic stops. Designed for officers who already possess basic skills, this training focuses on refining communication, tactical awareness, and decision-making during these encounters. Through a mix of discussion and practical scenarios, officers will sharpen their skills, increase confidence, and gain valuable experience that makes their traffic stops safer, more efficient, and easier to manage under real-world conditions.
